Happiness is popping up all over Tallahassee in the The “Happy” marketing campaign for The Proctor Dealerships was launched in the first half of 2009 when the general mood and outlook of the American consumer was at an all-time low. Negativity was the pervasive message throughout all the media. We were seeking a message for our client that would so dramatically contrast with the doom and gloom, that it would be widely noticed and appreciated as that needed breath of fresh air! The concept of the campaign was simple: to, over time, relate “Happy” images and thoughts to products and services offered by our client. The strategy was to blanket the market with fresh, light and memorable “Happy’s” and develop a following of people who were curious to see what was next. Some six months in, the multi-media campaign continues to develop and is gaining that sought after following. People are beginning to comment and recognize that our client will, in time, become synonymous with “Happy” – A very positive accomplishment in what has otherwise been a very negative media environment.
